A Community Built by and for Adults with Duchenne

We are building a space where adults with Duchenne can connect with each other, share real-life experiences, and help shape conversations around the topics that matter most.

Adult life is about more than medical care.

It is also about identity, purpose, connection, choice, and everyday life. DMD Pathways wants to make room for the full picture of adulthood β€” not just appointments and logistics.

What kind of community are we building?

We do not want to build a generic forum. We want to build something thoughtful, relevant, and genuinely useful β€” shaped by adults with Duchenne themselves.

  • Peer Connection

A way to meet other adults with Duchenne who understand the realities of adult life.

  • Relevant Conversations

Topics could include independence, education, work, relationships, mental health, technology, future planning, and everyday problem-solving.

  • Shared Experience

Real stories, practical insight, and the chance to learn from people walking a similar path.

  • Built Together

Community members will help shape the tone, structure, topics, and features so the space reflects what adults actually want.

Help us shape the community

The interest form for our coming soon online community will ask more than just your name. We want to understand who you are, what matters to you, and what kind of space would feel most helpful.

  • Where you live
  • Your interests, hobbies, and everyday life
  • Your goals, priorities, and challenges
  • How you prefer to connect with others

What we may ask about the community

  • What topics you want covered
  • What kinds of conversations feel most relevant
  • Whether you would want discussion groups, events, peer connection, or resource sharing
  • What a respectful, helpful community should look like
  • Whether you would like to help co-design the space

This community is being developed with the goal of reflecting the voices, interests, and priorities of adults with Duchenne.
